Professor Ha Jin Hwang received MBA(1986) and Doctor of Business Administration(1990) from Mississippi State University, U.S.A.. He taught at Minnesota State University(Associate Professor of MIS, 1989-1991), Mankato, Minnesota, U.S.A., Australian Catholic University(ACU, Visiting Professor, 2009, Visiting Senior Lecturer, 1999), North Sydney, Australia, Catholic University of Daegu(1991-2010), Korea, and KIMEP University, Kazakhstan(2010-2016). He is currently Head and Professor of Information Systems at Department of Business Analytics, Sunway University Business School, Sunway University(SU), Malaysia.

Before joining SU in August 2016, He had worked at KIMEP University, Kazakhstan for six years, where he served as Dean of Bang College of Business(2014-2016) and Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems. He also served as Vice President of External Relations and Cooperation (2005-2009) and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs(1997-1999) for Catholic University of Daegu, Korea.

He has been serving as Editor-In-Chief for International Journal of Hybrid Information Technology since August 2011. He served as President of Korea Association of Information Systems(2005) and President of Korea Internet Electronic Commerce Association(2008). He also served as Publicity Chair for IEEE/ACIS International Conference(2008), Portland, U.S.A., and Conference Chair for KAIS International Conference(2005), Daegu, Korea. 

He has published articles in numerous journals such as International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering, International Journal of Software Engineering and Its Applications, International Journal of Computer and Information Science, and many top-tier Korean journals. He has also published books including Electronic Commerce/Electronic Business(coauthor, 4th edition, 2012), Ubiquitous Computing and u-Business(2006), Management Information Systems(2005), 21st Century Digital Business(2004).
